LOL those sure are a lot of blankets in Tater's crate. what a princess and the pea situation. i don't know if you still have that many in her crate now, but sometimes they do get caught up in them if there are a lot in there. a small bed and a blanket should be fine as long as she can get in and out without any problems.
glad to hear tate is eating something. usually the little ones are a pain to feed after surgery so we are glad to get them to eat anything at all. however, chicken is constipating so try to get her to start eating dog food again sometime soon. the chicken isn't going to hurt for a few days tho, so don't worry.
A scarf or another leash is helpful when getting them to walk. she may even like the extra support when trying to poop. she probably doesn't feel comfortable getting into the pooping position so some like a little help.
It really does sound like you are doing a great job. Your surgeon sounds excellent too! i LOVE his discharge instructions! he isn't old school about it and totally knows what he is doing. great to hear it. i love that he told you to do the 3 walks a day and passive range of motion exercises. so many lp stories i read here don't allow this and have the dog in casts and that's really not the way to go now a days.
Tatum is going to do great. she'll be walking better in no time and you will have a happier (and even more spoiled) girl on your hands. we all know you spoiled tate before and boy is she gonna have you wrapped after this ordeal. hahahaha
