I had to rush my female to the emergency vets on Friday. Her puppies were 11 days old and I awoke to hearing very heavy panting and when I turned on the lights she was hiding under the night stand. When I pulled her out she was panting, drewling and was twitching. When I took her temperature it was 102. I immediately dressed and rushed her to our emergency vet. Sure enough she was diagnosed with eclampsia. They put her on an IV to start calcium and also subcutaniously. I picked her up that night and now I have four 2 week old babies I need to bottle feed. Mom is doing great but she is crying for her puppies.
