My kids know very good and well, not to bring their toys out of their room. They are older though. If you have a playroom set up, that might help, just dont let the pup in  Now, my 17month old is a different story  She shares her toys with the pups. Shes teething too, so they sit and gnaw on toys together. Its actually quite funny to watch.

Lol, have you tried giving your human baby, bully sticks? On second thought it might cause too many fights.
Another thing that worked for us, was an oversize coffee table in the family room. Kids can play with their toys on the table, yet it's fairly easy to teach the dog "paws off"!
