My yorkie is jealous of everything and everyone. He won't let me pet any other dogs, hates the parakeets and goes crazy every time I try to feed them I(one got out one night - I was given a dead bird in the morning, evidently to play). Sargie even has to stick his nose in if a human shows me affection (although he doesn't attack humans). If I pick up a pillow, a stuffed animal, a toy, and talk to it ("I love you, pillow!" -wanted to see what he'd do) he barks and tries to break it up.
Spraying the water will deter him from most things, but not the birds.
