Me, my mom, sister, and grandma are all REALLY close so being away from them and not being able to go over and see them anytime I wanted was hard. I had to make new freinds, find new contacts, explore a new town and figure out where everthing was. It honestly took me a few months to a year to become adjusted to Georgia. I only get to see my family every few months so it is still hard..

However I do think that move made me grow up a little and I became alot more independent. Especially after my husband deployed and I was completely alone here. Growing up I was a "daddy's girl" and was so used to being taken care of. My mom and dad did everything for me. Made my doctors appts, paid for my school, bought me a car, did my laundry.. all of that work that I had to learn to do when we moved. All my jobs were given to me because of people I knew in my old town and when I moved I had to actually go out and apply places. It sounds like you are a bit more mature than me though

If I could I would move back to Texas in a heart beat but no I wouldnt go back and change anything. I do enjoy Georgia and the friends I've made. I feel 1000 times more grown up than alot of people I know and Im only 20.
Well, I have a mature side but when it comes to the stuff you're talking about (parents paying for school, doing laundry, etc...) I'm pretty much in the same boat lol. So it would be really hard for me to learn how to cook for myself and do things of that nature. That's kind of why I want to move too -to prove to myself I CAN do it, lol .

Thanks for all of your responses, guys!

It sounds like SC is a good choice too. Something just calls me there every time I go! I'll have to check out Greenville.
