I agree with Michelle about the liver shunt, too. Unless Sofie has had a bile acids test, Protein C, ultrasound, etc., that can't be ruled out either.
When I called him he said, most GME cases the animal is in severe pain, which he said Sofie is not. He did say that it required taking fluid from the spine and he said he just did not feel that was her problem. I hope he is correct. I know he is an extremely good vet. I will mention the liver shunt tests again. I know he completely ruled out liver shunt sometime back, because I had a concern about her having a liver shunt. The test showed no sign of liver shunt.

He said that as of right now he is puzzled as to her problem.
