When we got Toby his nails were very long. He would not let anyone touch his feet. I tried thepedi paws and the noise was scary for him. I was also worried about whether he would hate me, but I bought a new trimmer and every chance I could i took a tiny bit off. Eventually they became short enough and I have him groomed more regularly to. I think the curve of the long nails made his little "knuckles" sore. I also tried massaging his feet as often as I could .
He's been ours for 5 months now, and it is amazing how much more comfortable he is around us. I wonder sometimes how long it will be before he knows he's really ours. |
