Um....curious to know what made you think to give her hotdogs? Hotdogs are the junkiest of junk foods. Absolutely no nutrition in them.
I would definitely home-cook for her. Chicken breast, rice, fresh veggies. Or, at least buy her some high quality canned food. A retired show breeder I know, gave her Moms half & half.
I would also call my Vet again and tell him she is not eating anything but junk food.
