Melissa, Don't worry about scaring people. This is a very possible scenario.
I did keep Zacchie. I never planned to sell him. I planned to rescue him and give him to a loving family, but my vet told me that with as many problems as he could wind up with, it could be a burden on them, so I should keep him. Besides, after all I went through to keep him alive, there was no WAY I could let him go. He is a huge part of me, and indeed, our whole family.
But the little brat loves Daddy best, LOL!
