Maddie has never ate enough for me to free feed. I tried b/c I work during the day. She is picky and once food had laid out all day, she would not dare touch it.
Maybe it gets stale???
Now, she eat 1/3 cup in am and I feed her 1/3 cup in evening. She is always ready to eat. I will give her other things such as carrots or blueberries for snacks. This works for her.
