I agree with blancla about double checking the breeding dates to be sure you are correct with your dates. Mom's generally deliver on my bed - I put down washable Potty Pads and since I attend the birthing, it is more comfortable for everyone and I don't disturb mom as much with all my "fussing" over them. After all the babies are safely nursing, I transfer the new family to the Nursery, which in my case is a PetGear Play pen that I have lined both inside and out with fabric. I also cover the top of the play pen to help ward off drafts.

Pups are introduced to the other members of my canine family as soon as the mom is comfortable with the idea, but almost always within a week. By this I mean a sniff or two while I am sitting on the floor holding them. By the time the pups have thier eyes open and are ready to mingle with the pack, everyone is familar with everyone and there is no transition or surprises.

Good luck with your new litter. Have you had xrays done yet to determine how many pups to expect?
