Layla was overweight- at her heavies she was 7.4 lbs and the vet was worried it would affect her lp in her legs- so we worked and worked and worked and now she is probably somewhere between 6.2 and 6.6 which is ideal for her size. Our vet was saying that just being 1 pound overweight, when compared to how very little they weigh, is like an adult being obese. It is very important to try and keep the weight off.
