We pulled up the carpet last year and my DH, my ex, and my BIL installed it. Not the greatest job as several planks have separated with no easy way to close the gaps. It has been months and I still am waiting for them to finish putting the molding and quarter round stripping on in some places. If I had to do it over, I'd pay someone, and we wouldn't have purchased from a liquidation company...would go for the Pergo. Half tempted to get my carpet back...
As for clean up, I use a broom and dust pan, or my little Swiffer vac, and then use The Shark. The dogs do well with walking on it and don't really slide. I love being able to put my area rugs on it...very versatile. |
