The first group of dogs from the Arkansas Puppy Mill Transfer will be up for adoption on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at both of our shelters, the Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney and the Dealey Animal Care Center in Dallas. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m., seven days a week.

Breeds include: Yorkies, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Pekingese, Poodles, Shepherds, Maltese, Shih Tzus and Cocker Spaniels.

Potential adopters should note that because the dogs come from a puppy mill environment, they will have special needs relating to their house training, medical care and socialization
