We're going to do the same thing in our family room. We have berber carpet now that is 10 years old, and it's totally destroyed from pee. We're going to put down the laminate, but, we're going to go with the tiles. Mom has those in her kitchen/dining room and they're big pieces and look very easy to install. I think hubby is going to do ours, but, it unfortunately won't be until the economy picks back up.
