Neutering usually has a calming after-affect.
I don't know why he would try to p.p. on you, dog's do that to mark their territory.......well, maybe he was.......but still, dog's won't usually do that after being neutered.....
As far as the nipping your husband, I'd try to put a stop to that immediatley before it gets out of hand.
