We are doing the same thing!! We recently pulled up the carpet in one of the bathrooms
, took out an oversized tub & laid in the laminate that we got at Sams....35 yr warranty & way less than Lowes. In fact this summer we are pulling out all the carpet & putting in bamboo. Sam's carries that too. Not the laminate bamboo that Lowes carries but the real thing that is the same cost as the laminate at Lowes. Any way the way it seams together as long as you clean up any "accidents" you shouldn't have any problems. We put the big furkids kennel in there along with their food & water & the same for the cats. I dust mop it every few days & mop it once a week with a spray of "Out" pet odor & stain remover.
