Hi guys,

I have been reading alot on YT trying to get ready for my puppy and it has been great. But I am a little concerned about something. I have read that a harness is the way to go instead of a collar, but that nothing should ever be left on the dog while it's unattended. That makes perfect sense but I am really worried about what might happen if the dog were to get out. I plan to have my puppy microchipped. Also I intend to make my dining room as secure as possible (I'm turning it into the puppy's room basically, baby gates and all) The puppy would spend any time I have to be away in there. But I live in an apartment complex and I have that worry that maintenance may come in and the puppy accidentally have gotten out, and it run out the door. Maybe I am being paranoid, but I am kinda freaking out about this. Is there anything else at all that I can do to make the situation a little more secure?
