I work and leave food out all day too but Baxter never eats any of it while I'm gone. He will eat a little in the morning when I put about 10 pieces of kibble on his pillow. (Yes he is spoiled.) And then at night he will eat what I put in his kong while I take a bath. Then about 2 hours later he will actually go eat out of the bowl himself. He is a very strange eater. My wonderful bro-in-law actually had to feed him by hand when he babysat for me for a while when I was out of town.
