the sooner the better- yes those baby teeth are going to fall out but this is the PERFECT time to get him used to it- chances are he wil never love having it done- I do Layla's daily and she still puts up a fuss but she puts up with it!
As for toothbrushes- i find that an infant/toddler toothbrush works best- nice and small for their tiny little mouths
