If he is not on the meds and in pain he will take it easy on himself. all in all it does make some sort of sense... but Im not satisfied and i think they sensed that... they told me I've got 7 days to bring him back at any time and it would be included within the cost of the surgery... that means nothing to me... i don't care about the money, i don't want my little man in pain (first time mommy coming out) so we're back at home and he's acting the same as before... But to end a frustrating note i will leave with some good news... he drank all the water in his bowl and 2 beggin strip treats
I'm hoping my little man is better with in time... I'll be posting..
for all those about to go under the knife...be firm with ur vet or vet tec... theres nothing worse then watching ur furball in pain and theres nothing u can do about it. |
I kinda thought they might say that....it's just the anesthesia and the trauma of the entire experience.....same thing with my female. They are correct about the pain meds. The theory is that while on them, they can't tell if they are straining the surgical site. Also, I know he likes them, but Beggin Strips are wwaaaayyyy NOT GOOD. I have been a Yorkie owner my entire life, and my son works at a petstore....they get all the inside scoop on the contents of food and treats. For now, while he is being finicky, try a small chicken breast in the microwave (you can add rice and peas), or steak if he doesn't tolerate chicken well. A little at a time. You can even try just the chicken breast, something that is appealing to him. As far as treats are concerned, my pups love chicken flavored biscuits (Newman's, etc.), rolled up piggie ears, dried sweet potato sticks....the healthy but tasty stuff. The commercial brands are loaded with fillers and fat. I know he will be just fine and as I said, as a first time mommy to a furbaby, you are just prone to worrying....we all are....it's that unbelievable love you have for your animal. Plus, it's always best to be safe...not sorry. We are all here to help...Lisa, Lilly & Jesse..
