I apologize if I come across as knit picking- I actually agree with your post almost in entirety.

There are 8 amino acids that humans (I'm assuming dogs as well?) can not make but they are not only found in red meat. There are a lot of other complete proteins and new research has shown that even if you eat an incomplete protein, your body will store amino acids until it gets the additional ones to complete the protein. Again, I apologize if it looks like I'm picking, I just wouldn't want the op to think red meat is her only option for her dogs. For the record, my dogs eat venison so I'm not opposed to red meat.
