From my experience, it's not safe to bring a Yorkie home at 8 weeks. Missy was brought home when she was 7 weeks and 2 days old. She suffered from hypoglycemic attacks for the first 2-3 weeks! It was very scarey. I think it's best to wait AT LEAST 10 weeks, and even better if you wait until 12 weeks of age.
