I use disposable pads and when they're done I put them into a Diaper Genie. It has a twist-lock mechanism that keeps the smell out. When it comes time for garbage day, I take it to the garage and drop it into the garbage can. You just pull out the bottom and everything comes out in a plastic baggy that look like sausages links. I paid around $30 for mine at Walmart and the refills are usually $7-$9. I have the regular Diaper Genie, but I found this one on the Babies R Us website Diaper Genie II Disposable System. It's on sale for $25
