Angry Help! Pee EVERYWHERE!!

I couldn't decide whether to put this under training or under Health and Diet so I put it here.

Lucas is 6 months old, recently neutered, and the last couple of weeks (after his neuter) we have been converting from pee pads to outside training him because it has started to get warmer here.

He has been up and down a lot. We have been taking him out and if he goes we treat and praise and then when we come back in and let him play around the house for a while and then crate him (or pen him in a pen only big enough for his bed and water) and then wait a while and take him out again.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM:
He is now peeing EVERYWHERE in the house. He used to go on the mats religiously and without fail and as soon as we neutered him/started taking him outside he is peeing on the carpet, the rug, the hardwood, EVERYWHERE. Also instead of only going a few times a day, he goes constantly! Sometimes only a half hour in between, and does not seem to have any kind of reliable schedule.

Here is my question:
Could it be that since we are trying to get him outside more, he doesn't diffeentiate between anywhere inside? He literally does not go on the mats at all anymore. (We left a few out just in case of emergencies). He shouldn't be marking right? Because he has been neutered.

Or could he have a bladder infection or UTI? I don't know much about this but my friend has a little dog and was so hard to potty train because she had to go so much and they found out she had a bladder infection.

Thank you so much for any input. And sorry for the long post, I just wanted to give some background to make it more clear so I can get some advice
