The best thing for you to do is take her to the vet and have an Oxcytocin shot given to her. It will shrink the uterus, explelling any lose tissue and/or retained placenta. Did you see if she had eaten it? She could have when you were with the pup. My advice is a vet visit. I was also told it helps with milk production.
