Layla will chew for HOURS if I let her. She absolutely loves them. They are 100% digestible. You just have to watch out when they get too small because they may become a choking hazard. I don't find it to be too gross... the end gets soft and slobbery but it's constantly in her mouth until I take it away and put it in the closet. It dries out again quickly. I use the Moo brand bully sticks and haven't had a problem with smell.
