I don't understand why they are waiting before giving him meds. I have epilepsy myself. For every seizure you have, a small bit of damage is done. I have been seizure free for 40 years due to medication.
I feel even if a dog has a seizure once every month, is too much. I would worry when the next one would be coming, if he would be on the stairs or outside with family by a pool or something. I can understand them wanting to do all tests first, but the one vet clearly said a petit seizure. By the way hun, they may never know WHAT causes a seizure only how to treat it. Usually in people it is a EEG, which is impossible to do on a dog. I had EEG's after a seizure and they were normal. My doctor said most of the time they are normal AFTER the seizure because electircal activity was released thru the seizure and the activity returns to normal. My doctor said sometimes all eeg are normal and they can then only diagnois due to observation. So if all medical tests come back ok with him, a little med can go along way.
Good luck with that little darling and keep us posted.
