Getting a new puppy is so exciting. Congratulations! From my experience, the best tip I can offer is putting your dog on a schedule and confining her to a small area (exercising pen) in your house until she is potty train. I found putting my dog on a schedule and using the leash helped me monitor his behavior. My dog loves to wonder and investigate. I am currently using the leash to teach him not to wonder off while I watch TV. In addition, I use the leash to avoid getting unwanted presents in my game room. When he potties on the pad, I cheer for him in an enthusiastic voice that makes him zoom all around the room. Find the one thing that makes your dog happy (cheer, snack, or game) and do it when she potties on the pad.
