Thank you all for the thoughts.
lgoodall, the vet was so very apologetic. I live in a small town. Just one vet here and he has been here for at least 25 years. He is a very good vet and he assured me they tried to revive her for 30 minutes. Gave her the epinephrine to try to restart her heart. Believe me I asked a million questions about what happened. Of course, I was just balling the whole time, I didnt care though. She was also going to get her teeth cleaned while she was under, but he had just sewn her up form the spaying when this happened. I was thinking it was too much anesthesia with the spaying AND teeth cleaning, but he said they had not started it yet. I was just devastated to go up there after he called ( I waited till my husband could get home). He thinks her heart just stopped. I mean, she was a healthy little dog. All muscle. She loved to play ball and that is all she wanted to do. And give kisses. My heart feels like it is literally breaking into. |
