i use a much simplier recipe. I use one small box of pudding and pie filling. Vanilla and the kind you cook.
whatever the amount it says on the box of milk. I think it says two cups. Not sure.
Two beaten egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar. Mix all and heat until it starts to thicken. My mamas love this and I also give it to my puppies when they start eating.

if Karo syrup is available where you are, it will be on the shelf close to the pancake syrup but you don't need it if you use the recipe I posted.
