Oh my gosh I am so thankful that you saw this than. I had no idea Hot Rod had LP. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE keep me updated on both the surgery and recovery. I haven't yet met with the surgeon so I don't know ANYTHING.
My vet last night pulled out the anatomy book and showed me the different scenarios. I guess it's pretty bad when the leg bows, from what I understood, it is all related. I guess they will have to pin/plate it? I was so in a fog last night I am getting things confused but please let me know that Hot Rod is ok and what your recovery instructions are. Is it both legs?[/QUOTE]
Just talked with the vets office and he will be going into surgery within the next 1/2 hour or so. It is just one leg that at a 3. The other is a 1. He said that at this time he cannot say if it will ever get worse or not but feeling it it doesn't appear that it is that bad. The dr also brought in a color diagram and went through each scenario of what might be the case and talked with us about the approach to "fix" it. He told me that he would call after surgery and his staff has assured me that he will be calling right after surgery so that makes me feel good. In my thread I said that he has a yorkie of his own so I feel so much better about him. lol. Once the shock wears off I am sure you and hubby will be able to make the best decision for little Ranger. He's in great hands.
