My husbands mom is the same way! Sometimes we really do think she likes her dog more than her kids
She takes her through the drivethu and buy the dog her own burger, if she orders take out, she buy her own meal, she takes her anywhere and everywhere with her, and spoils her rotten. She always calls her my husbands "sister" when we are there too. She's never been a dog person and we were shocked when she got this little maltipoo a couple of years ago. That dog RULES the house and no one can touch her babies or any of the goodies she has burried in couch cushions and corners.
