I went through the same thing with a neighbor who told me I "got ripped off" because Sully is almost 9 pounds and too big to be a Yorkie. I even have papers proving he's a Yorkie back 5 generations. My vet told me that although the AKC standard is 7 pounds, originally Yorkies were about 15 pounds. Yorkies are like a "box of chocolate - you never know what you're gonna get".

PS - I'm hoping The Easter Bunny will leave a special "Yorkie Tootsie Roll" on my neighbors lawn next time we go for a walk.
