I like to give my pregnant bitch cottage cheese too.

It is recommended to stop all supplement, calcium, vitamins and puppy food about 1 weeks prior the due date.

When the labor and contractions have start, I chew a TUMS and spit it in her mouth. (for the calcium).

I also give Vanilla ice cream to the female between puppies. It is refreshing and also good source of calcium.
