Please do not feed a food over 24 or 26% protein. It is hard on the liver and kidneys. Royal Canin is 28% protein. Some dogs have had high bile acid results that went to normal after being taken off this food. California Naturals is really good and I have been very happy with it. My show coats look great, no one is over or underweight and all are healthy. Solid Gold is also good as are several others such as Eagle Pack. I try to stay away from corn and byproducts. It is not necessary to feed a puppy formula. Most are too high in protein and fat and can lead to accelerated growth rates. This can cause problems with joints. All my puppies eat the all life stages food and they have very strong bones and joints.
