i can only tell mypersonal experience. When I got Ceeby, my first yorkie, his coat was so thin and so oily that he looked like he had been dipped in oil. I kept bathing him trying to get the "oil" out. he is four years old now and extremely silky coated. Not as thick as I would like but thick enough.
