Poor little Yogurt. I am not sure what the problem might be, but see if you can find an English-speaking doctor. I live in S. Korea and I've been lucky enough to find one. Try American/Canadian expat sites for a good recommendation. What country are you living in now?
And yes, the larger dogs (like Spaniels) are the ones that usually get eaten. It's been my experience that Koreans LOVE (seriously, LOVE) small dogs.
