Hi Shell,
Believe it or not...I just went through the same thing.

I lost Cooper on September 5th, and he was only 11 months old. He was my pride and joy!! I couldn't even think of getting another Yorkie at that point. The next night my fiance and oldest son looked at me and said "You need to get another dog." I thought about it for a while and realized that I couldn't stand not hearing the pitter patter of little feet. I cried when I came home and no one was running up to meet me at the door like I had been gone for weeks or jumping at my leg when I was on the computer so they could sit in my lap.

During our conversations about a new puppy. My son suggested that I get two because I wanted to get a playmate for Cooper before he passed, but just hadn't found the right one. I did a ton of research and almost all the experts say " Do not get two puppies at one time." Of course, I didn't listen...I'm quite stubborn (LOL). I say Phooey to the experts. I have had Scooter and Wiley now for three months, and they are just a barrel of fun. Don't get me wrong...it is double the work, but they do occupy each other when we aren't able to pay attention to them.

I say do what your heart tells you, but definately do get another puppy or rescue. You can PM me if you have any additional questions or want to talk.

Love and Hugs
