Hi! Moving is always stressful. I hate moving! One of the easiest things to do when you do have to leave the new place would probably be to crate the dog. Its their little den and it makes them feel cozy. My yorkie is the same age as yours. We dont crate him anymore. But we are building a house right now and I will probably crate him with a t- shirt of mine and some of his familiar toys until he gets use to his new surroundings. Also, you wont have to worry that he is taking his stress out on your new place while you are gone. Think about how long it takes US to adjust to a new place! When you are home play with him. Treat him like a pup and go through verbal commands like sit, shake, etc. with treats. Show him that this new home is just as fun as the last. Good luck! He'll come around!
