We can't diagnose it without a biopsy, but my guess is that she has a type of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. I don't want to do a biopsy unless she starts getting sick again and isn't improving. But I read an article that talked about people with IBD having hepatic lipidosis so it would make sense with Lacy. It seems like it's more the GI issues with Lacy causing her symptoms that the hepatic lipidosis we think.
Thanks Meg for the info on white potatos sometimes being inflammatory. Maybe that's the case with Lacy and why she was sick. I'll keep feeding sweet potatos and see how she does. |
oh YAY Lacy!!! So glad you are on the right track now! Setbacks are just so upsetting. Layla was getting sick a few weeks ago- ended up being an omega supplement I was giving her but still upsetting. So glad things are going well for her! This has been a long road for you!
