I can already tell his head is turning all gold and the "white" is going away on his head already!

From what I've been told, if a yorkie pup has white on his head he will
be gold not tan as an adult. So if you want gold that color you can
be sure of getting if he has white on his head. Buddy had white on his
head and chest as a pup. As he got older he lost the white and turned
golden not tan. As least you'll be sure of getting one of the two color's
you prefer. Possibly. Nothing is written in stone.
