i would choose Wellness over natural balance, but that's just my opinion. I find that wellness is a better quality food. It may just be that Maddie is allergic to the corn or wheat in the RC (which is a popular complaint of this food). Wellness has a few different types of dry food. All of their foods also contain no by-products, corn, wheat, soy, and artificial colors, preservatives and flavors.
I hate those "nutrition" people at the pet stores. They know nothing about food, only what the food company that is paying them tells them. There are adds for these types of jobs on craigslist that anyone can apply for. You just have to be available on certain days and listen to what the company tells you. they push their own food even if its crap.
