If you can get a six month old puppy to stay you certainly can get him to sit
sitting is fairly easy actually to train a dog to do
hold a treat in your fingertips... and hold it out to him
have him stay so he doesn't jump up
and then curl your hand upward as you tell him to sit
this movement forces their head up and encourages them into a sitting position
