bree is a funny eater. she takes one itty bitty piece at a time, runs over to a different place to eat it (sometimes her bed, sometimes across the room, where her heart desires right then), eats it and runs back for another
none of my kids are food agressive. i started right away touching them, brushing them, taking their food away while they were eating, putting my fingers in their dish, etc. i never want to have a food aggressive dog. each will let the others eat out of their dish with no problems |
The vet told me once that if you have an animal that likes to inhale their food (I had a cat that would do this) and causes them throw up to put it on something like a cookie sheet or flat surface. Not piled up. I guess it makes them slow down and they have to work a little harder to get it. Not sure if that works but it's worth a shot.
