It is an exercise pen. You can find them at Pet's Mart or most pet supply stores. Ours is in our dining room. She doesn't have to be isolated from her family, just make a safe place where he can't get to her. Halle has her bed in there, food, water and toys. Plus she gets to go out several times a day. It's not at all like isolation from her family. Again good luck. Believe me it's a rough three weeks! We stay safe for 4 weeks just to make sure she is fully out of heat.
