I can understand your frustration. As far as being upset that it hadn't been to the vet and they didn't know how much it weighed though, I don't understand. I have not brought my dogs to the vet the first week I had them. All of them had been to the vet within a week or 2 of me purchasing them to have vaccines and get checked out, and didn't need more vaccines for a couple of weeks or so, which I vax at home, so I didn't even bring them then, not until rabies was needed. If there were a problem at all I would take them in asap, but otherwise I don't. I don't think it's odd that a person doesn't know how much their dog weighs exactly either. The rest I completely understand. I have been trying to educate many people on kijiji and craigslist whenever I have the opportunity about the importance of toy breeds to be with the mom for 12 weeks. A couple of people have gotten attitudes, but most are friendly.
