LOL, I should have sent that one to you last night Megan, when I was teasing you that children were screaming in the streets and dogs were howling! Darn, missed a good chance to terrify you.
We didn't get any new ash last night, but the stuff from yesterday looks darker on the snow this morning as it's settled. I let the dogs out after the ash had stopped falling last night, wiped their paws when they came in, and there were still a few ashy footprints in the house this morning.
We decided to cancel our weekly dog meetup. I don't think the ash is going to hurt them, but none of us liked the idea of having to bathe our dogs thoroughly after they romped around for an hour.
A HUGE bummer for the dog community is one of the big dog shows for the season had to be canceled because the judges could not make it up here because of flight cancelations. And since it's considered an act of God, nobody gets refunds because the group still has to pay for rental of the downtown auditorium.
