Please just don't put him back at the pound, I fear they will PTS or just adopt out to anyone and this issue may happen again.
If this is something that you feel can't be resolved or are just too fearful, please search around for reputable Yorkie Rescue (or Small Breed Rescue) in your area, as they will take him in, evaluate him and work on his behaviors and they will find an appropriate home for him, probably without other animals or children. BUT please do not dump him at the pound/shelter
