My guess is that it's too big, this is the number one mistake people make. For a non-donating member avatar can be no bigger than 75 pixels on each side. Donating member's avatars can be 125 pixels. If your avatar was too big, Yorkietalk automatically resizes it, but it loses the moving part, and just becomes a regular picture. Resize it to 75 pixels, and it will work, if you can't do that, upload it to this thread, and I'll resize it for you.
